Vinegar and its many uses

Love the taste of vinegar?  Not only does it give great flavor on foods like fish and dressings but can be used as an everyday condiment to flavor your foods. The most common vinegars are, balsamic, cider vinegar, rice vinegar, white vinegar and wine vinegar.  But did you know it’s also non-toxic all natural product that is safe for your kids, pets and environment?  You might be quite surprised on how many household chores you can use this inexpensive product to make your life a little bit easier. 

Ideas for vinegar use in your home:

  • Remove bad odors in your sinks, trash cans(Use 1 cup of vinegar)
  • Removing odor in a room.  Place a bowl of vinegar in the room overnight.  Remove next morning.
  • Removing odors in coffee pots, jars, pots and pans to remove build up residue and odors.  (50/50 of water & vinegar)
  • Removing odor from your dog.  (1 cup of vinegar and 2 gallons of water and pour over your dog.  (Do not rinse)
  • Use on your computers, mouse, and printers to remove all the bacteria from fingers and residue.
  • Windows and window blinds.  Wear white gloves or a sock.  Dampen your fingers and wipe down for easier cleaning.  Much easier than using a towel.
  • Get rid of water rings on your furniture.  Use equal parts of olive oil and vinegar.
  • Whiten your grouts
  • Use as a sore throat remedy.  (1 Tb of apple cider vinegar and 1tsp of vinegar and gargle)
  • Spray on door ways to rid of ants
  • Keep flowers fresher longer
  • Kill weeds in your backyard
  • Put a shine to your china
  • Disinfecting your babies toys of germs
  • Get rid of mildew
  • Disinfecting kitty litter boxes
  • Removing stickers
  • Unclog shower heads of hard water stains
  • Rinse vegetables and fruits.  Its non-toxic and bio-degradable.
