Three Methods of Carpet Cleaning

Hot Water Extraction

This method injects a hot solution as an emulsifier to break-up or break-down dirt and debris. Last, the vacuum created by the machines blower unit, extracts the now dirty/soiled solution into the carpet cleaning waste tank to be disposed of.

Rotary Extraction

This method is similar to Hot Water Extraction, but with much more agitation. This process still produces the same heat (180-250 degrees) for emulsification, but uses rotary (heads) to produce an agitation swirl to give the carpet a more restored look and deep cleaning. This process is where machines simply “Out Do” manpower! This process is typically more expensive, but the results are better as well!

Spin Bonnet Cleaning

Last, is the Spin Bonnet method of carpet cleaning. Honestly, your going to get mixed results here! This method uses no mechanical vacuum extraction or solution agitation (from a mechanical pump) at all. For this method, the carpet technician will pre-spray the soiled carpet with a pump sprayer or bottle and buff the carpet with a bonnet. Think of buffing a car…basically the same thing. The point is to buff the carpet and extract the soil onto the cotton bonnet. Once the cotton bonnet is soiled, it’s then replaced with a new one. This process continues until desired results are achieved.
