We love our homes and want to keep it beautiful at all times.  So much work and money we spend on carpets, wood flooring, tiles and any other choices we make to make it more pleasing.  We need to keep in mind all the harmful, bacteria and germs that can be brought in on a daily basis.  Most of us do not realize how we track in germs and bacteria every day.  We come and go from our homes every day.  You will be surprised how many ways we bring germs in our homes.

Our shoes:  our number one culprit.  We wake up every morning we leave the comfort of our homes, where do our feet go?  If you really think about this, it would amaze you where your shoes have been all day.  Germ hotspots can be 4,000 times dirtier than your toilets.  That sounds pretty disgusting doesn’t it?  Because our toilets are so infested with germs and bacteria.  How hard we try to keep up with cleaning and disinfecting our toilets…it’s a never ending story.  Maybe you’d think twice about it next time you leave the safety of your homes.

  • Doctors’ offices
  • Grocery stores
  • Gyms

What do all these places have in common?  People, animals, germs and bacteria.  What do we step on every day?  You have no clue, such as urine, feces, vomit, blood, sweat, dead rodents, dead bugs, chemicals of all sorts like pesticides.  They get imbedded on the bottom of our shoes and stay there all day…until you come home and walk in your front door.  What are you bringing into your environment?

Our beloved pets:  They are so cute and cuddly, how could you think anything less of them.

  • Mud
  • Feces
  • Urine
  • Poison from plants
  • Dead rodents
  • Dead bugs
  • Pesticides

Our pets paws and body can bring in harmful contaminates inside your home without you knowing.  Unless you are that person that bathes or washes your pets every time they come inside the home…  what a chore that would be and as frustrating for you as an owner.  Everything that you step on and your pets comes in contact with you and your family every day.  Who lays on the carpet to watch TV, read a book, do homework or even take a nap once in a while?  You, your husband and your children.  So the skin comes in contact with the germ and bacteria that in imbedded in your carpet fibers.

So how do we eliminate all this and keep our families safe from harm?  Just by changing a few things in your daily routine.

  • Leave your shoes at the front door before entering your homes.
  • Keep your pet’s paws clean at all times after being outside.
