Clean Baking Dishes/Glass Cookware

Don’t you hate when you bake a delicious meal in your glass cookware, and it becomes caked to the sides. It might seem like that lasagna might never come off, but fear not! Alka-Seltzer can save your bake ware from staying dirty and grimy. All you need to do is fill your baking dish up with water (preferably warm to hot water), and then throw 6 Alka-Seltzer tablets into the dish. Allow your dishware to soak for at least an hour. This should help lift off the leftover food particles, and make for an easy clean.

Clean the Coffeemaker

It’s good to flush out your coffeemaker and give it a thorough cleaning, especially if it’s constantly being used in your household. Fill the water chamber portion of the drip coffee machine up with water, then throw 3-4 Alka-Seltzer tablets in. Once the Alka-Seltzer has eventually dissolved, put your coffeemaker through the “brew” phase to clean the inner tubes. Then, rinse the chamber out a few times, then run a brew cycle with regular water before making the coffee.

Soothing Bug Bites

This is a nifty trick, you might not have known about Alka-Seltzer! Get a container and fill it up with warm water, and drop 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets into the glass. Let it finish dissolving, then stir up the mixture with a spoon. Take a cotton ball and soak it in the liquid. Apply it to your bug bites, and let it sit for 20-30 minutes for relief from those nasty insect bites.

Clean a Flower Vase

We all wish fresh flowers could stay perfect forever, but we all know that can’t happen. When the flowers start dying and the water starts becoming dingy, then you know it is time to toss them into the garbage. Usually, rings from the plant remnants, and chemicals in the water cling onto the inside of your vase. Just add hot water into your vase, and plop 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets into the vase. Swirl the tablets around, and then let it sit and work its magic for about an hour. Finally, rinse out your vase and it should look sparkling clean!
